What the Pros know about Floor Stand Mounts
When it comes to installing your flat-panel LCD or Plasma TV on a floor stand mount, it pays to listen to the pros. To help you successfully mount your TV, we've included a few professional tips that may come in handy. Of course, these suggestions are not a substitute for reading the directions and may not work in every case. If you have questions, get answers from a reliable source before you begin. And remember, unless you're completely sure of what you're doing, it always pays to call in the pros.

Make sure it fits in the room! As strange as it seems, many people assemble their floor stand mounts in one room and then find they’re unable to fit it through the door into the room where they want it to be. To avoid unpleasant surprises like this, always assemble the stand mount in the room you want the TV to be in.

Make sure it fits the TV. While a stand mount may look sturdy enough to hold your LCD or Plasma TV, size and weight are just two considerations in finding the right mount. Always check for compatibility before buying or attempting to mount your TV on your stand mount.

Plan ahead for the accessories. Chances are, if you don’t own them now, sometime in the future you’ll have a DVD player/recorder, cable box or other accessories to go along with your LCD or Plasma TV. And you’ll need a place for them. Make sure you choose a mounting stand that gives you all the space you need to house the accessories you want and need for your viewing pleasure.
